Boats at Ethero: Panoramic Canvas

This work is based on photographs I took in February of this year at Ethero Country Park. I pass it at least twice a week when I visit my dad and occasionally I drop in with my grandson. Dad and Marcus love going there to feed the ducks and geese and I love it cos they love it. This particular day the weather was glorious and I was mesmerised by the remote control sailing boats racing on the near lake. The trees were bare and the boats reflected in the lake in glorious sunshine. I just love the colours of late winter and the skeletal nature of the trees. You really get the sense of calm almost ethereal nature of Sailing boats on a rippling lake.
