Christmas Card: Eccles Pike from Chapel Milton

I can see Eccles Pike from my bedroom window through the arches of the viaduct, it’s faiorly easy to get to and you have a great view of the hills around Chapel-en-le-Frith. There is a metal etching showing all the hills and their names at the top. We go up there quite regularly.

The local Chinley Churches go up there on Good Friday for a service in the afternoon. they place a cross between two rocks at the top, it’s a beautiful place to worship. It’s a beautiful place. It can be tricky when it’s raining and windy although there is some shelter from the wind in a gully close to the top.
