Painting: South Head and Mount Famine

£300.00 Price excluding VAT

South Head lies to the South of Kinder Scout and opposite Peep O’ Day. When I was working in Manchester I would pass it every day, It is a really evocotive, it can be moody or bright. It was the first hill we climbed as a family when we moved here nearly 25 years ago. In different lights you can see different elements of it, different shaddows, different paths and different devisions of walls.

However it was the old hedge that caught my attention a small line of hawthorns which had obviously been hedged at some point. I find these intriguing.
